Undergraduate Readmission
Students Withdrawn or Administratively Withdrawn from the College
Students, who have withdrawn, or been administratively withdrawn for one year, and wish to return to the College, must reapply and pay the current application fee. Returning students must comply with any new degree requirements in effect at the time of reentry.
Students Dismissed from the College
Students who have been dismissed for academic reasons must wait one year to reapply. To reapply, the student will need to submit a written appeal demonstrating justification. In that appeal, the student will need to address why success will occur at this time. The appeal must be sent to the Provost. It will be reviewed by the Director of Advising and the Registrar. Their recommendation will then go to the Provost for approval or denial. The Provost鈥檚 decision is final. If approved the student must comply with any new degree requirements in effect at the time of reentry.
Students who have been dismissed from the College for failure to meet the minimum career GPA requirements, must wait a minimum of one year to reapply. Upon readmission, the student will have the opportunity to take 12 credits in order to obtain a minimum career GPA of 2.0, or be dismissed a second time from the college. If at any time during the completion of the 12 credits, the student does not meet the 2.0 semester GPA requirement, the student will be dismissed.
Students who have been dismissed from the College for failure to meet the minimum semester GPA requirements, must wait a minimum of one year to reapply. The student must obtain a semester GPA above 1.0 in the first Term back. Failure to obtain a semester GPA above a 1.0 will result in dismissal from the college. This includes withdrawals and administrative withdrawals.
Students Dismissed from the College Twice
If a student is dismissed a second time, the student must wait a year to reapply and at that time be able to demonstrate college-level learning by successfully completing a minimum of 12 credits at another regionally accredited institution or through standardized testing. Successful completion means grades of C or higher for each course or examination. If approved the student must comply with any new degree requirements in effect at the time of reentry.
Readmission Course Load
Students who are returning in good academic standing may take a full course load. Students returning on academic probation are limited to 6 credits per semester until they earn a satisfactory career/semester GPA.
